GET INVOLVED

There are several places where you can make a difference in the ongoing mission of The Pointe. Our services and ministries reflect our values and mission – we won’t try to do everything – just what will take us to be better at who we are. Below is an incomplete list – incomplete because it may not include YOUR idea – so if you have a great idea or see a need that should be filled, please let us know!

First Impressions :
This includes greeters, coffee bar workers, and the ‘just right’ crew (making sure the facility is clean, ready, and welcoming prior to the start of each service).

Set up/Clean up:
These crews make sure any needed set up work is done. At times this may mean stage set up, other times it may mean chair set up, other times???. That’s what makes this team an adventure!

Tech crew:
Calling all geeks!!! No, not really, but if you enjoy tooling around with computers, there’s a place for you. We provide training and support for the software we use for the music, lighting, sound board, etc. These positions require early arrival on the days you serve.

Set design:
Are you creative? Do you have handy skills? Can you put stuff together on a budget? Yes to any or all makes you a candidate for the set design team. Some study topics can be enhanced by visual sets, and we’re always looking for the next great idea.

KidzPointe: (children’s ministry)
The Children’s Ministry is our most important arm here at The Pointe. We always need people who are willing to help – from baby rockers to Jr. High herders. Enough help in this area will result in a rotation that keeps everybody fresh – and teaching opportunities are available, too. We provide support, curriculum, ideas, and basic materials. NOTE: Every person working in our Children’s Ministry must submit to a background check which is kept confidential.

Talking Pointes Host: (coming in fall ’09)
Talking Pointes is our small group network. We’ll have designated topics and time frames where we encourage meeting in small groups during the week to discuss, share, and grow in various areas of faith. Whether those meetings are in someone’s home, a local restaurant or coffee shop, we’ll be looking for a few people to be Host at those events. Requirements include: A healthy pulse, a willing heart, and the ability to start and stop on time! Details forthcoming…
